The contest is officially over now.......
The winner of the online contest was announced last week.
The winner chosen by Slash was "State Line Empire". Congratulations to that band. I am anxious to see if I hear them on the radio dial anytime soon.... That would surely bring into focus the depth and awaiting possibility for anyone choosing to venture into such an endeavor as a simple 'online contest'....
HOWEVER.... May STATE LINE EMPIRE NEVER PLAY TALLADEGA SPEEDWAY...LOL...
Just kidding..... No I'm not..... No really I am.... NOT...... really.... NOOOOOOOOOO
I do thank everybody that took the time to vote for me throughout these last few months.
And special thanks to Mrs. Judy Alger for the posters and playing the music at NASCAR Talladega Races.

This website was created in an effort to have some of the music I, (Slim, aka Roy "Wes" McGee) and my brother, (Boudreaux, aka Roger Craig), have written and recorded together. After two years of writing, composing, and tinkering around with ideas, we've chosen several of our favorite songs to put together on a CD. We are two musicians with two different styles of playing. However, we found along the way that a blues player from the swamps of Louisiana and an Americana lovin' redneck from the deep south of Texas, can actually come up with some good ideas and make some pretty damn good music together. We hope you like what you hear. |

As is par for the course and typical of many a coonass, redneck and songwriter alike....... nothing ever goes as planned.....
I mentioned before that several songs on the "Project Slim" album were gonna being remixed or redone..... and SOME were...... and then as time passed others were written and recorded and added so...... heck......... I don't know what to say 'cept.... go to the music page and give a listen to the old and the new on the Project Slim CD.......
I am currently uploading remixed and re-editing versions of the songs on my music page. These are the songs that are below the CD Boudreaux and I did. Hopefully soon I'll have enough to put the next CD on there which will be Project Slim, 'magine that... HAH.
So keep checkin' back over the next few days, or knowing me, WEEKS, somethin' is BOUND to grow on ya.
As most of you probably know..... I'm back in Louisiana now. I've seen a lot of nice places to ride the old Harley back in the Hill Country of Texas. However, I need to find places to ride here where the scenery is nice as well as the company. So I'm open to suggestions. Drop me a line on the contact page or leave a message in the guest book... I'd like to put a few links on my "Area Happenings" page for places around the southwest Louisiana area to go and visit or just drive by..... I have a guestbook page now so please stop by and sign it real quick. The purpose of the page is to get some publicity for the music that my Brother and myself have been working on, as well as post as any links I find which contain information on any music events, Hog rides or rallies, anything of interest that is happening in the surrounding area. Just as I had done for the places in the Hill Country I consider it my "Civic Duty" to find all the good hangouts round these parts as well. Suggestions for what you might like to see on this site are welcome, and don't forget to stop by the music page and give a listen to our music. (Online ordering is NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE) As soon as I figure a way to get online ordering set up reliable without the worry of anybody being 'taken' by hackers out there I will set it up....
